This edible blue-green algae draws out heavy metals from your brain, central nervous system, and liver. This is of course the healthy version of a traditional high sugar sorbet. The spirulina adds extra minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants! So, instead of eating an atom bomb of empty calories you’re actually getting high quality goodness into your body. Enjoy as a palette cleanser or a light sweet treat after meals.

Ingredients

1 C cashews
1 C coconut milk
1 C coconut pieces
½ tsp Spirulina Powder
½ C pineapple juice
½ C lemon juice
½ C mint leaves

Note: You can use fresh coconut, or coconut pieces from the supermarket. You would just need to grate the brown skin off of the coconut so that the final product is smooth and creamy.

Method

Step 1:

Place all of the ingredients into a high speed blender or Vitamix. Blend on the highest setting until smooth and creamy.

Step 2:

Place in a deep glass or metal container. Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours.

Step 3:

To serve, remove the sorbet 5 minutes before enjoying – it’s easier to scoop when it’s a little soft.

Step 4:

Have fun scooping the perfect ice cream ball... It takes practice... Don’t give up!
