Autoimmune Answers – A Soulcare Invitation to Truth and Healing
By International Healer Omar Botha
Section 1: The myth of autoimmunity
If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, you’ve likely been told that your body is attacking itself. Hearing this strips hope, breeds fear, and leaves you feeling betrayed by your own body. Today, countless mysterious illnesses are labeled “autoimmune,” yet the concept itself is flawed—and this mistaken theory ultimately harms you and your loved ones.
When we believe our body is attacking itself, we unknowingly hinder our healing. The truth is essential: your body never attacks itself. It is always working for you, loving you unconditionally, and protecting you every single day. Knowing and feeling this truth in your heart is critical; it supports you—and those you care about—to heal.
Historically, when medical science didn’t know the cause of symptoms like mysterious rashes, dizziness, fatigue, aches, pains, or inflammation, these were labeled “autoimmune.” This theory began in the 1950s and was grandfathered into modern medicine. An antibody was discovered, but its purpose wasn’t understood. In the absence of answers, one idea took hold: the antibody destroys healthy cells. Rather than acknowledging unknown causes and undiscovered pathogens, blame shifted to the patient’s body. Over time, the “autoimmune” explanation became a catch-all for many chronic conditions medicine couldn’t explain.
So people diagnosed with Hashimoto’s are told antibodies destroy their thyroid; those with eczema or psoriasis are told their body attacks the skin; those with lupus are told their body attacks itself and produces inflammation. This is presented as the best available explanation for mysterious disease. But it’s inaccurate—and it impacts your ability to heal. You’re given incorrect information and told your body has turned against you, when nothing could be further from the truth.
The purpose of this teaching is to free you from the misguided notion that your body would ever attack itself and to reveal the true cause behind many conditions labeled “autoimmune.” Your body is not self-destructive. Your immune system is not seeking out healthy cells to harm. In reality, your body is tirelessly working for you, doing its best to keep you safe—and when symptoms arise, it is fighting an invader.
Section 2: The true cause, triggers vs. cause, and the path to healing
If you’ve been told you have an autoimmune disease, your body is attacking something—but not itself. It is fighting a pathogen invader, such as viruses and bacteria. This includes lupus, Hashimoto’s, Graves’, Addison’s, Type 1 diabetes, colitis, vitiligo, celiac, eczema, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, alopecia, and more—the common thread is a hidden pathogen that your body is trying to eliminate.
One of the most significant pathogens involved is the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), the same virus known for causing mononucleosis. There are many strains and mutations of EBV contributing to different symptoms and illnesses. While some medical professionals have begun calling EBV a “trigger,” the deeper truth is that EBV is not merely a trigger—it is a direct cause for many of these conditions. This distinction matters profoundly.
Triggers vs. cause: Modern advice often focuses on avoiding “triggers” (like gluten or stress). Avoiding triggers can reduce flare-ups, but if we only manage triggers, we are not actively fighting the pathogen causing the illness. The virus remains, continues to proliferate, and can create new or worsening symptoms. Life also brings inevitable events—grief, stress, change—which cannot be fully avoided. If the root cause is still present, symptoms return. True healing begins when we identify the cause and work to reduce viral and bacterial load.
Why medicine often misses these pathogens: The autoimmune theory has become entrenched, and many tests offered by labs do not detect the stealth viruses and bacteria causing chronic illness. Many pathogens linked to these conditions are not yet discovered, classified, or testable. When you don’t know what you’re looking for, it’s hard to find it. As a result, patients are told their body is attacking itself, or that “faulty genes” are to blame—neither of which leads to lasting recovery.
The healing shift: When you replace the belief “my body is attacking me” with the truth “my body is fighting for me,” something changes. Your nervous system calms, your immune system clarifies its mission, and your body becomes more efficient at breaking down pathogens. This mindset shift is not just emotional—it’s biological and energetic. Healing accelerates when you combine this truth with targeted support.
The Soulcare path forward: Healing requires protocols that help the body eliminate the invader and restore balance. This includes starve-the-pathogen nutrition, therapeutic herbs, hydration and mineral support, gentle detox focused on liver clarity, and energy work to release stored trauma and reignite resilience. As pathogen load decreases and the liver strengthens, symptoms recede and stability returns.
Direct steps:
- Identify the cause: Recognize stealth pathogens (especially EBV) behind symptoms.
- Fight the pathogen: Use targeted protocols that reduce viral/bacterial load.
- Support the liver: Restore bile flow and detox pathways to weaken the invader’s foothold.
- Nourish wisely: Choose foods and herbs that feed you, not the pathogen.
- Anchor belief: Hold the truth that your body is on your side—this fuels recovery.
Recovery is possible when you are armed with real information and protocols that honor your body’s intelligence. Your body is not the enemy. It is the healer. Together, we restore the truth, clear the invader, and reclaim your health.
